Information society. Smart city.

The non-degree post-diploma programme of study: Information Society. Smart city is open to all candidates with a bachelor's or engineer's degree who would like to enter one of the most dynamic sectors of the 21st century economy: information management.

The concept "smart city" refers to the changes in governance and management which improve the quality of life of citizens. The programme is a perfect choice for talented young people who would like to become leaders of technological change in their local communities and firms. During their studies they will learn about the role and use of broadband infrastructure, internet communication, smart transport systems, smart networks and buildings, and their integration, which may improve the quality of life in local communities.

The graduates of the programme will know how to use teleinformatics to implement changes for the better.

The courses within the programme are taught by the members of academic staff of the Jagiellonian University, academics from other higher education institutions, and by experts in theory and practice of the information society from civil service and the private sector.

The programme is run under the auspices of the Ministry of Administration and Digitalization, Computerworld weekly and Knowledge Centre publicstandard.pl
